New furniture rarely arrives ready to use. Bed frames come in flat boxes, shelving needs to be leveled against a wall, and a dresser mirror has to be attached before it is safe to lean anything against it. We put those pieces together once they are inside your home.

What we build

Bed frames, headboards, dressers, dining tables, shelving units, entertainment centers and similar flat pack or bolt together furniture are the most common jobs. We bring our own tools, so you do not need to hunt down an Allen wrench or borrow a drill from a neighbor.

We also handle reassembly for furniture that was disassembled for a move, matching the hardware bag back to the right piece and putting things back the way they came apart, which sounds simple until half the screws look identical.

Working around the room

Setup is not just building a piece in the middle of the floor. We think about where furniture will actually sit, whether a dresser needs to be anchored to the wall for safety with kids or pets in the house, and whether a shelving unit is going against a stud or will need anchors rated for drywall alone.

If a piece needs to go into a specific spot, like a bed frame in a room with a low ceiling fan or a bookshelf that has to clear a window sill, tell us before we start so we can plan the assembly sequence to avoid moving a finished piece twice.

Combining setup with delivery or a move

Setup is often booked alongside a delivery or a move, since that is when new furniture usually shows up. Doing it in the same visit means the crew that carried the boxes in is the same crew building the piece, which saves a second trip and a second wait for an available slot.

If you already have the furniture at home and just need it assembled, we can book that as a standalone visit too. Have the boxes in the room where the piece will live, since flat pack furniture is often easier to build close to its final spot than to carry fully assembled through a doorway.

What to have ready before we arrive

Clear a working area near where the furniture will go, and keep the manual and hardware bags together if you have already opened the box. If a piece is replacing something old, decide ahead of time whether the old furniture is being hauled away, donated, or just moved to another room, so the crew can plan the sequence of the visit.
